Allegheny Technologies recently formed ATI Nuclear Energy, a new market focused business unit designed to address the nuclear energy market sector. The new market sector team will represent the wide breadth of ATI products and services that support the nuclear energy power generation industry.
 

Michael Moyer

Michael Moyer, former Manager, Nuclear and Zirconium Products Sales at ATI Wah Chang, has been promoted to oversee the new business unit. In his new position as Director of ATI Nuclear Marketing, Mr. Moyer will be responsible for the development and execution of a business strategy to grow revenue across all ATI companies related to the nuclear market.

Mr. Moyer has held various sales management positions during his 20 year career with ATI Wah Chang. He has been involved with the go-to market strategies for niobium, titanium, CPI zirconium and zirconium nuclear product lines. As Michael Moyer transitions to his new role for ATI Nuclear Energy, a restructuring within ATI Wah Chang’s Commercial Department has taken place that will ensure all product lines and customers retain the same level of focus and service.

 

CARRIE JACKSON

Carrie Jackson was recently appointed Manager, Nuclear Sales. In her new role, Jackson will oversee a newly created department that will manage sales and account management activities for all government and commercial nuclear sales activities. In addition to her new duties, Ms. Jackson will continue to assist in the management of the company’s government contracts and long term agreements. BARRY VALDER

Barry Valder, Manager Niobium, Niobium Alloys and Vanadium, will assume management responsibility for ATI Wah Chang’s Engineered Product line which was previously managed by Carrie Jackson. Mr. Valder will maintain his current management duties and will take on the sales management of all products manufactured in ATI Wah Chang’s Aerospace Machine Shop. MARC PAZINA

Marc Pazina has been named Sales Representative, Nuclear Sales where he will assist in the account management and sales for customers in the global markets served by ATI Wah Chang’s newly formed Nuclear Sales Group.

“I am pleased to have Marc join the newly developed Nuclear Sales Group,” says Carrie Jackson “He was well respected in his previous position at ATI Wah Chang, and I know he will do an outstanding job for our group as well.”

Prior to his role in Nuclear Sales at ATI Wah Chang, Mr. Pazina was a Sales Associate for Titanium Aerospace. He brings a BS in Political Sciences, a Masters in Education and four years of sales experience to his new position.

TRACEY KLEIN

We are pleased to announce that Tracey Klein, Development Project Manager, CPI Zirconium, has accepted a special assignment designed to facilitate the transition of new product lines from business development to commercial viability in the urea market segment. OmegaBond® tubing will be the first product line Ms. Klein transitions into wider spread commercial use in the urea industry.

“Tracey has always been a valuable member of our team,” says Doug Brenizer, Manager of the CPI Sales Group. “She has excelled in every project she has worked on; her attention to detail and knowledge of the market make her a perfect fit for this assignment.”

Ms. Klein joined the CPI Zirconium Group at ATI Wah Chang in 2000. During her time at the company, she has also worked in the Niobium Product group. She brings 14 years of sales experience and a BS degree in Business to her new assignment.

DAVID GOIN

David Goin has been promoted to Business Development Project Manager. In his new role, Mr. Goin will promote OmegaBond® advanced tubing technology for new uses in chemical processing applications. His responsibilities will also include the development of opportunities in the CPI market for other ATI Wah Chang materials.

For the last three years, Mr. Goin has been working in the Technical Services Group where he has offered technical support to new and existing customers. During this time, he helped drive the product development and technical support for OmegaBond® tubing technology. OmegaBond® tubing is a patent pending design that successfully bonds a zirconium inner lining to titanium tubing.

Mr. Goin joined ATI Wah Chang in 1998 after graduating from the University of Idaho with a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Chemistry. His first assignment was in hafnium production, where he held Process Engineer and Production Supervisor positions. Mr. Goin also held similar positions at Chemical Operations in Zirconium Reduction/Pure Chlorination.

“We are pleased to have someone with such a rich technical, metallurgical and manufacturing background join the CPI team.” says Doug Brenizer. “David’s experience will be a phenomenal asset to our group and our customers.”

DENNIS MUSCATO

Dennis Muscato recently joined the ATI Wah Chang team as a Business Analyst for the Commercial Business Systems & Support group. In his new role, he will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas of improvement and managing improvement efforts for Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Muscato worked at Hewlett Packard for 27 years, most recently leading Global Marketing Corporate Social Responsibility Stakeholder Relations, through visioning, strategic planning, business development, process improvement, partnerships, and external relationships with socially responsible investment firms, non-governmental organizations, and rating agencies. Organizational affiliations include U.S. Business for Social Responsibility, UN Global Compact, European Triple Bottom Line Investing, and Association for Socially Responsible Investing in Asia. He was a founding board member of the internationally recognized UC Berkeley Haas Center for Responsible Business.

Mr. Muscato also led U.S. and worldwide business analysis and IT infrastructure solutions that increased efficiency, collaboration, productivity, customer satisfaction, and reduced costs. He was also a team member of the award winning USAID/AIHA Ukraine medical partnership team. Program outcomes were improved health care through information technology, family medicine training, woman’s health clinics, and community based public health prevention and education programs. Mr. Muscato has a BS in Natural Resources Management and MS in Computer Science from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, California.

BECCA JOHNSON

Becca Johnson was recently promoted to the position of Program Manager in the Commercial Group. In her new position Ms. Johnson is responsible for project management activities in ATI Wah Chang’s Aerospace Components Program including, contract completion and compliance, financial reporting, project timeline and inventory management, and assistance with proposal development and response.

Prior to her new appointment, Ms. Johnson spent over four years with the company’s Safety Department where she championed several important projects including the establishment of an automated, streamlined MSDS program that was implemented across ATI, and the development of an electronic safety training delivery method used to improve the distribution of critical plant safety messages. She has completed her Associate’s degree and is currently working on her BS in Management.

“Attention to detail is critical to the success of our department,” says Brett Krueger, Manager of Aerospace Components. “Becca has clearly demonstrated her ability to successfully manage projects over the years; her skill set has already proved to be very complementary to the tasks she is charged with.”
