Vanadium Powder
Wah Chang will offer vanadium powder manufactured
by the hydride-dehydride process from vacuum melted ingot
on a case by case basis. Check with us for your analytical
requirements. Levels of oxygen, and nitrogen will vary in
inverse proportion to particle size.
Powder in either the hydride or dehydride form
may be obtained in particle size distribution from -20 mesh
to -325 mesh with 9% over/under size allowed. Other mesh fractions
are available as special orders, depending on the particle
size required.
Vanadium powder is produced and packaged
under high purity argon gas. Vanadium powder, especially
in small particle sizes, has a high affinity for oxygen;
even though packaged in a sealed plastic bag under argon,
it will oxidize and discolor over time. A Material Safety
Data Sheet (MSDS) is provided with each shipment and the
customer should be familiar with appropriate HMIS concerns
